Domonkos Benyovszky-Szűcs | Pictures were transferred to things

“Throughout my works I am analyzing the dynamics of representation in various ways: how could we see ourselves and each other differently, and how can it be influenced by images? I examine images as mental and intellectual constructions. In the series titled “Constellation” I paint bodies disintegrated into pixels. The digital noise in photos I use as inspiration interrupts objectification, making uncertain the conditions of understanding. Spikes of paint are working as three-dimensional pixels, covering each other as you pass by. The body of paint itself renders the image invisible, symbolically referring to reality images generate beyond their physical boundaries.“ / Domonkos Benyovszky-Szűcs
