ARTISTIC STATEMENT

I have always been drawn to engaging with contemporary phenomena, while also considering the preservation of painting traditions equally important. As for my working process, after selecting a theme, a detailed plan emerges through a long, playful process of montage, and only then does the actual painting begin. Many of my works feature inscriptions, icons, and glitches taken from the digital world, yet the final result is always created using traditional oil on canvas. It’s a demanding, laborious, and sometimes even painful process — and I’ve been in it for so long that it’s no longer me making art, but rather art that shapes me. If creation were to cease, I would cease as well; it is inseparable from who I am.
