Áron Gábor | Space-questions
solo exhibition
Áron Gábor’s exhibition titled Space-questions will be on show in the B32 Gallery and the Faur Zsófi Gallery.
The exhibited artworks at the Faur Zsófi Gallery are an assortment of pieces from the last four decades; an emblematic artwork from each of his series, titled Animal Figures, Whirlpools, Heads, Golden Garden, Dialogue, and In the Reflection of Eyes, were shown on the three floors of the Gallery.
For years, Gábor Áron has taken part in an extensive international graphic exhibition. The pieces that will be shown in Milan during April will be on view at Panel Contemporary, the lowest level of the Gallery. These sculptures and paper-based graphics will be visible during this event for the first time in Hungary.
The series titled Synthesis will be shown at the B32 Gallery. In this series, the artist attempts to harmonize the two great opposites; the geometric and the organic approach to painting, thus conveying his artistic approach, intellectual message, and attitude to the problem itself. The horizontal and organic images represent the diversity of nature, while the vertical, geometric rhythm of the paintings symbolizes man-made spaces. Parallel to this, the alizarin crimson plains of color represent blood and life, and the soft, black, geometric streaks demonstrate death and passing. These opposites can be associated with the concept of time and demonstrate its continuity. During the exhibition, the large triptych oil paintings and the delicate drawings and paper-based works with a personal narrative will form a dialogue, and tell their story.
