Áron Majoros | Body-Spaces
opening
'Áron Zsolt Majoros creates spatial relations with his works that, although they are based on the shifting relationships between the artist, the relief and the spectator, are nevertheless defined by the sculptures themselves. In his pieces (primarily with segments) the personal space is opened up towards the virtual world, and thus allows for an escape from real space as well as our own bodies. Considerations of this flight presuppose the existence of something inside that we may call spirit or soul, which wants or can escape. Majoros is looking for this spiritual content, by sculpting the body and the absence of it, and through an exploration of traditional depictions of the human form.'
