Sound | Forming
group exhibition
The main construction of the project is based on the vibes of Hungarian folk tales, the artists personal relationships with the world of fairy tales and also the mood-creating strength of different sounds. The idea of this exhibition was born in a university project. We chose two less known folk tales, the Csudacsirke and the Tündértó titka. These stories were read aloud by synchronous actors Judit Bálint and Gergő Bódy. Then we added some gripping, exciting and sometimes ambivalent noises and sounds to these tales, to create whole new weird but also harmonic moods in these sound files. After that, we gave these files to some contemporary artists and some elementary school students, and asked them to create something, based on their own thoughts and impressions about the sounds.
We gladly represent you these artworks. Also our non-secret mission with this project was to give a new perspective about the interpretation of classic folk tales, to bring them closer to the people of our modern chaotic world, and to show everyone that the lesson of the tales are eternal, and it addresses every one of us.
